From the 1917 diary of Olga Romanov:

Mordvinov. Thursday. 2nd February.  All of us [went] with Papa to obednya. Mama [came] later.  Dear Aleksei Konst.[antinovich]. Met up with [illegible] of the escort. Mordvinov had breakfast.  After ‘tomleniye’ [did] the puzzle and the deputation of 1st Grebensky Kislyar. Papa’s regiment. He was the hetman of Cherkessky, blue beshmet. Sunny, 12 deg. frost. Walked on skies for about 2 ½ hrs, and around 4 o’clock went to Feodorovsky Sobor, where 2 Sidorovsky Cossachkas [wives of Cossacks]  arrived, Nina and Ludmila.  And we came down with them sitting and standing […]  Lots of fun, returned by 5 o’clock. Al.[eksei] is not [feeling] badly. In the evening horsed around with Mordvinov in the halls. Early to bed. Mama went to Anya’s infirmary at vsenoshnaya.
