ROMANOV FAMILY: ON THIS DATE IN THEIR OWN WORDS. TATIANA ROMANOV – 12 JANUARY, 1913.
From the 1913 diary of Tatiana Romanov:
12th January, Saturday. [Tatiana’s Name Day – N.S. 25 January]] In the morning went to Mama’s and received a lot of nice gifts. Moleben at 12 1/2. Before that went to Mama’s for a little while and then sat upstairs, responded to telegrams. Aunt Olga arrived and we four went with her to moleben here at home. Had breakfast four with Papa, Aunt Olga and Sashka [Vorontsov]. In the afternoon everyone went to our ice rink, and slid down the ice hill. Then Sashka came over. It was such fun to slide with them. At 4 o’clock [we] returned home and Irina came over. Had tea with them downstairs. Aunt Olga left and we went to the regimental church. Had dinner four with Papa, Irina, Anya and Sashka. I sat between them, I mean [between] Anya and Sashka. Later [we] went to have coffee in the big room for a little while. Then Sashka left and we went to Mama’s. I started pasting Anya’s photographs. At 10 1/2 went to bed.
