From the 1916 diary of Maria Romanov:
5 February. Had lessons. Rode with Shura. Breakfast 4 and Mama on the couch. Al. was in bed all day. Went to a concert at our infirmary with A.[nastasia]. Morfesi was there and also Sasha Makarov and De Lazari played the guitar. One of them played the accordion. In the afternoon had tea 4 with Mama and Anya. Rode with O., T. and Shura. Had a music [lesson]. Had dinner 4 with Mama in the playroom. Anya was here.
