From the 1913 diary of Olga Romanov:

Tuesday. 30 April. Had lessons. Had breakfast with Papa, Mama, Aunt Ducky, Uncle Kirill, Uncle Boris and Dmitri. Mama and Alexei stayed in the study. In the afternoon we 4 walked around the park with Papa and Anya, Mama [rode] in a carriage. It was cold, but sunny. Then [we] canoed. It was just 1 degree. It snowed and hailed. Had dinner with Papa and Mama. Then Mama read “Notes by Empress Elizaveta”. Then Papa went off to read, and we worked until 10 o’cl.
