ON THIS DATE IN THEIR OWN WORDS: NICHOLAS II – 4 MARCH, 1913.
From the 1913 diary of Nicholas II:
4th March. Monday. The day remained warm, snowing occasionally. [I] was busy from 10 o’cl. until one.
After breakfast at 2 1/2 went to the palace grounds with the children. Reviewed the young sailors of the 1st and 2nd mine divisions and underwater regiment. Fabritzky is their commander. Was satisfied with all.
Returned home at 3 1/2 and went to take a walk. Sat with Tatiana until tea. At 6 o’cl. received Scheglovitov. After dinner studied for a long time.
