From the 1904 diary of Nicholas II:
29th March. Monday. Got up late. Alix has a terrible cold, most likely caught from the children. Went to obednya and had breakfast with Sergei. At 2 o’clock there was major khristovanie [Easter greetings ceremony] with the lower ranks at the Concert [Hall] – 720 people. Took a walk, the weather was gray, not cold. Had dinner two together. Studied all evening.
