This story is dedicated to the most loyal, but too often forgotten, servant of the Romanov family: Klementy Grigorievich Nagorny.

Klementy Grigorievich Nagorny, the last Dyad’ka (“Uncle”, or sailor nanny) caretaker of Tsarevich  Alexei, was born in 1887 in the Village of Pustovarovka, to a peasant family.  Nagorny became a sailor on the Imperial Yacht “The Standart”, and eventually was appointed as assistant caretaker of Tsarevich Alexei, to the Boatswain A.E. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation issued a statement today that the re-examination study confirmed the authenticity of the remains of Tsar Nicholas II and his family. However, the Russian Orthodox Church is still not ready to make a final conclusion on the question of the authenticity of the remains of the Romanov family.

TATIANA ROMANOV: RUMORS OF ESCAPE

As most of you are aware, Grand Duchess Anastasia is the member of Russian imperial family whose myth of escape became very well known around the world (mostly due to the most successful “claimant” Anna Anderson).

But during the time of captivity of the Romanov family, as well as shortly after their murder, Grand Duchess Tatiana was actually the one who was rumored to have escaped!
