This postcard was written by Anastasia Romanov to her aunt by marriage, Grand Duchess Eleonore of Hesse. In 1914 Anastasia was 13 years old. “Aunty Onor” was the second wife of Grand Duke Ernest of Hesse, Anastasia’s maternal uncle.
