Friday. 4 January. We four rode with Trina. Mama did not sleep well and is feeling poorly. Had breakfast with Papa and dear General Dumbadze. At 2 o’cl. 7 min. Tatiana, Lili Obolenskaya and I went to Grandmama’s in Petersburg. We stayed there for about an hour and then went to Aunt Olga’s with Irina. Had tea there with her, Aunt Ksenia, Aunt Minnie and Madame Steckel with her daughter Zoya. Stayed there until 6 o’cl. It was lots of fun. After that Zoya, Irina and I went to her [house]. Later returned with Olga Yevgenievna at 7 o’cl. 15 min. Prayed with Alexei as usual. Had dinner and spent the evening with Papa and Mama. N.P. left for Sevastopol tonight. May the Lord save him.
