A unique Romanov relic that once belonged to the last Tsar of Russia, Nicholas II, was recently sent from London to a museum in Moscow’s Kremlin.  The Royal Victorian chain to  was presented to Tsar Nicholas II to honor the close relationship between Russia and The Great Britain.

Fraulein Unbekannt, Frau Tchaikovsky, Anna Anderson, Mrs. Anastasia Manahan was the most well-known imposter of Russia´s Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna Romanova. For each memory of the last Imperial Family she remembered, a new flaw bloomed. For each time she refused to speak to ¨relatives,¨ questions were raised.

In 2016, a new group of experts will be conducting a comprehensive examination of the remains of Romanov family members: Tsarevich Alexei and Grand Duchess Maria. According to Bishop Tikhon (Shevkunov), Vicar of the Patriarch of Moscow, time period of the new investigation is not being limited, and it is possible that it may take “two to three years“.  “We are very grateful to the leadership of the country today -His Holiness the Patriarch was informed that there will be no deadline, no hurry, no time limit will be set for this examination,” added Shevkunov. The Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) finally received custody of the remains of Tsarevich Alexei and Grand Duchess Maria Romanov. The location where they are currently being stored has been determined but will kept confidential. It is only known that the remains of the two Romanov children will not be stored at the Peter & Paul Fortress in St Petersburg.

On December 1, 2015, three rare books: a personal diary of the Russian Emperor Alexander III and two of his books of days, were returned to the Director of the State Archive of the Russian Federation Sergei Mironenko.  These books went missing 35 years ago and were considered irretrievably lost.  A week ago, police seized them from a citizen who tried to get an appraisal of these historical antiquities at one of Moscow’s auction houses.
